Donor Recruitment Customer Service Representative – Part-time Position – Des Moines, IA (DM-DRS-PT-1121)

Want to work on a great team while helping to save lives in your community? LifeServe Blood Center currently has a part-time opening in our Donor Recruitment Center. We’re looking for pleasant, upbeat team members who enjoy talking on the telephone. Your primary responsibility will be performing telephone recruitment to schedule blood donation appointments with our generous blood donors.

Hours Available: 

  • The hours scheduled for these positions will vary within the Call Center Hours which are Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM, Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Saturday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.  This position requires Saturday 8:30 - 5:00 shift.

Process Design Specialist 1 - Des Moines, (DM-PDSpecialist-FT-1120)

Join our team! LifeServe Blood Center, a leading non-profit organization currently has a full-time opening for a Process Design Specialist 1 in our Quality Department.  In this position you will assist with the document design and training program, assist with the formation of policies/procedures and ensure that quality assurance and compliance programs are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in planning training and competency organizationally
  • Assists in development and delivery of training
  • Assists in special projects and pilot programs involving new techniques or technologies
  • Through guidance, provides organiational regulatory expertise and interpretation of federal and states laws, AABB and EU standards
  • Writes, reviews and maintains standard operating procedures
  • Assists in compiling licensures and labeling information
  • Performs audits for internal and external customers
  • Assists in the validation process
  • Assists in the equipment maintenance, tracking and calibration
  • Assists with donor notification process

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Meets computer proficiencies as described in the Process Design 1 career ladder

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma and two year associate degree required
  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • 2 years Quality Assurance or Compliance experience preferred

Hours Available:

  • This position is scheduled 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Friday

Phlebotomy Specialist – Part-time Position – Des Moines, IA (DM-DSI-PT-1118)

Want to develop a career while helping to save lives? LifeServe Blood Center currently has a part-time opening on our Donor Services team to perform routine blood collection from our valuable, voluntary blood donors at our Des Moines, IA location and, at times, with our traveling collection team.

Primary Responsibilities for this Position Include:

  • Perform routine blood collection
  • Assist with medical history screenings
  • Maintaining a clean, well-organized collection area
  • Interacting with volunteer blood donors in positive, upbeat manner

Our ideal candidates are friendly, patient, detail-oriented, and enjoy being part of a team.

Hours Available:

  • The schedule for this position will be varying hours between 5:00 AM - 10:00 PM, Mondays - Saturdays

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • LPN, CMA, CNA or Phlebotomy experience preferred

  • Ability to cross-train in all areas of our organization
  • Shifts may require long periods of standing/walking

Product Management Technician – Full-time Position – Des Moines, IA (DM-PMTech1-FT-1115)

This position will perform critical functions to manage our inventory in order to meet the needs of our hospital patients.

Primary responsibilities for this position include:

  • Perform review of distribution, component modification and equipment related documentation
  • Perform and document quality control, calibration and maintenance tasks
  • Identify, troubleshoot and document problems that may influence the qualify or completion of
    shipping and component manufacturing
  • Assist with writing, review and evaluation of SOP
  • Assist with validation of new equipment and processes

Hours Available:

  • The available shift is Monday - Thursday 9:00 PM - 7:30 AM.  

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

Hospital Relations Coordinator, Des Moines (DM-HospRelCoord-FT-1113)

Be part of an organization dedicated to saving lives.  LifeServe Blood Center is seeking experienced candidates to develop and maintain hospital customer relations as well as delivering, creating and coordinating educational and technical services to hospitals.

Primary Responsibilities of this position include:
* Maintain hospital customer contract database
* Visit hospitals annually
* Plan value services and educational opportunities for medical, laboratory and nursing staff
* Identify new revenue opportunities for the blood center
* Technical liaison to hospital customers
* Identify and share prospective hospital clients with Vice President of Business Development
* Provide oversight and interaction with departments for implementation of new programs
* Organize/manage hospital blood bank manager/supervisor educational meetings
* Onboarding and training of new hospital clients

Educational Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree required
* Medical Technology (MT), Medical Laboratory Specialist (MLS), or Medical Lab Technology (MLT) certification preferred
* 4 years sales, customer service or directly related experience preferred

Other Requirements:
* Current driver's license in good standing
* Some overnight travel required
