Recruitment Manager – Des Moines, IA (DM-RecMgr-FT-1119)

Be part of an organization dedicated to savings lives.  LifeServe Blood Center is seeking experienced candidates for oversight of the Territory Representative recruitment functions.  This position ensures that the organization is increasing customer value, growing, and driving operational efficiencies.

Primary Responsibilities for this position include:

·       Planning, directing, staffing and supervising positions in the department

·       Meet and strategize with Territory Representatives to create and review collection goals

·       Determine performance standards for Territory Reps and hold them accountable to reaching
          those  expectations

·       Achieving projection accuracies and organizing promotional events

·       Direct activities of Territory Reps to insure that 100% of weekly and monthly goals are
          attained

·       Coordinates with Call Center and Resource Managers for donor appointment scheduling and
          mobile scheduling

·       Train and mentor staff

Education and/or Experience:

·       Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or public relations is required

·       At least 2-3 years of previous experience in sales or marketing is required

·       3 years of blood banking industry experience is preferred

·       Experience in strategic planning, ability to analyze and interpret financial resources required

Other Requirements:

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills

·       Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships

·       Ability to translate needed collections goals into appropriate goals throughout specific
          geographical territories

·       Current, valid driver's license in good standing

Phlebotomy Specialist – Part-time Position – Des Moines, IA (DM-DSI-PT-1118)

Want to develop a career while helping to save lives? LifeServe Blood Center currently has a part-time opening on our Donor Services team to perform routine blood collection from our valuable, voluntary blood donors at our Des Moines, IA location and, at times, with our traveling collection team.

Primary Responsibilities for this Position Include:

  • Perform routine blood collection
  • Assist with medical history screenings
  • Maintaining a clean, well-organized collection area
  • Interacting with volunteer blood donors in positive, upbeat manner

Our ideal candidates are friendly, patient, detail-oriented, and enjoy being part of a team.

Hours Available:

  • The schedule for this position will be varying hours between 5:00 AM - 10:00 PM, Mondays - Saturdays

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • LPN, CMA, CNA or Phlebotomy experience preferred

Product Management Technician – Full-time Position – Des Moines, IA (DM-PMTech1-FT-1115)

This position will perform critical functions to manage our inventory in order to meet the needs of our hospital patients.

Primary responsibilities for this position include:

  • Perform review of distribution, component modification and equipment related documentation
  • Perform and document quality control, calibration and maintenance tasks
  • Identify, troubleshoot and document problems that may influence the qualify or completion of
    shipping and component manufacturing
  • Assist with writing, review and evaluation of SOP
  • Assist with validation of new equipment and processes

Hours Available:

  • The available shift is Monday - Thursday 9:00 PM - 7:30 AM.  

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

Hospital Relations Coordinator, Des Moines (DM-HospRelCoord-FT-1113)

Be part of an organization dedicated to saving lives.  LifeServe Blood Center is seeking experienced candidates to develop and maintain hospital customer relations as well as delivering, creating and coordinating educational and technical services to hospitals.

Primary Responsibilities of this position include:
* Maintain hospital customer contract database
* Visit hospitals annually
* Plan value services and educational opportunities for medical, laboratory and nursing staff
* Identify new revenue opportunities for the blood center
* Technical liaison to hospital customers
* Identify and share prospective hospital clients with Vice President of Business Development
* Provide oversight and interaction with departments for implementation of new programs
* Organize/manage hospital blood bank manager/supervisor educational meetings
* Onboarding and training of new hospital clients

Educational Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree required
* Medical Technology (MT), Medical Laboratory Specialist (MLS), or Medical Lab Technology (MLT) certification preferred
* 4 years sales, customer service or directly related experience preferred

Other Requirements:
* Current driver's license in good standing
* Some overnight travel required

Product Management Driver - Sioux City (SC-PMDriver-PT-1112)

Join our team!  LifeServe Blood Center currently has a part-time opening for a Product Management Driver in our Sioux City location.

This position is responsible for transporting of blood products and/or specimens between service hospitals and our fixed site.  This requires quality and timely service to our customers in a courteous manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*  Provide transportation for blood products, blood samples and supplies in a manner that ensures    compliance with all regulatory agencies.
*  Reports vehicle issues to and coordinates repairs or maintenance with the appropriate individuals.
*  Reports any situations that may have impacted product, sample or supply quality.
*  Reports any work related accidents or injuries to the appropriate individuals.
*  Meets expectations regarding scheduled pickups/deliveries and on call hours.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 

*  High School Diploma or equivalent
*  An excellent driving record (MVR)
*  One year previous experience

Hours will be variable with most shifts occuring Monday - Friday. Scheduled hours can be anytime from 5:00 A.M. - 10:00 P.M. Additional runs will be taken as able.

Medical Laboratory Technician – Full-time Position – Omaha, NE (OM-ImmPMTECH-1085)

Join our team! LifeServe Blood Center currently has a full-time opening on our medical laboratory team at our Omaha, NE location.  This position will perform critical functions to test blood components and manage inventory in order to meet the needs of our hospital patients.

Primary responsibilities for this position include:

  • Accepts, verifies, processes, and test incoming blood
  • Performs and interprets various testing procedures, immunohematology testing procedures, on donor and patient blood products, repeating tests where appropriate
  • Determines and organizes schedule for assigned product shipments
  • Maintains and monitors required records and files for timely and appropriate handling of all orders
  • Performs quality control, equipment maintenance, and calibration as required  
  • Utilizes computer system to obtain necessary data and to record test results
  • Participates in the ongoing monitoring for each testing process to identify errors or potential problems leading to errors and takes effective and preventive corrective actions when indicated
  • Mentors and trains other laboratory team members and students as required

Hours available:

  • The available shift is Monday - Friday 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM with rotating evening and weekend on-call schedule.

Education and/or experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a biological science or related scientific field from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training and/or experience.
  • Meet current CLIA or ABB requirements for testing personnel
  • MT, MLS or MLT from American Society for Clinical Pathology or equivalent required
